The ATED Center is demonstrating Appropriate Technologies (ATs) for a broad range of stakeholders;  the design and development of the ATED Center is a model for ATs itself. The design of the buildings, materials, power, water and waste management infrastructure reflects the most innovative thinking in AT concepts and this is to effectively showcase the full extent of the program’s capabilities.

The ATED Center serves as the operational base from which all ATED activities and staff operates from.   It is an Appropriate Technology Center for increasing awareness and the commercialization potential of useful ATs for the Niger Delta. The ATED Center is co-located with PIND’s Economic Development Center to establish strong linkages between the development of ATs with commercialization potential and the micro-enterprise support programs of the Economic Development Center
